October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. The Daughters of Penelope are helping to bring awareness by hosting 2 great events.

On October 15 we will host our annual Coffee in the Pink with all donations going to the Friends Of The Cancer Center. We will have a special guest speaker during coffee hour so please mark your calenders to join us for this event.

October 1-22 the DOP will be collecting items to make hygiene kits to distribute to women seeking refuge from a domestic situation.  A woman is assaulted or beaten every 9 seconds and often leaves home seeking shelter without key essentials.  We are asking for your assistance in collecting items from October 1-22.
