Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church

WELCOME TO OUR 18TH ANNUAL GREEK FESTIVAL

Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church will be hosting Fayetteville's 18th Annual Greek festival on September 12-14, 2008.  Greek festival highlights include guest visits from the Fayetteville Mayor, Ms. NC of America, and Miss NC of USA, accompanied by our very own queens, from the Dogwood Festival.

Entertainment is provided with a live Greek band, featuring Zephyros from Baltimore; three Greek dance troupes from our Church; and Greek vendors providing religious and cultural jewelry, antiquities; and art; and of course a menu of mouth watering food and deserts prepared home made and Greek style by members of our community.  Additionally, vehicle displays will be provided by local Law enforcement agencies, Fire departments, Cumberland County Library, and the American Red Cross blood drive.  Local Fayetteville sports teams provide sports attire and accessories as donations for door prizes.

Children's activities include a trackless train, two large bouncers, two large inflatable slides, assorted games and activities.  The Cumberland County Library Van will be registering kids for library cards; the Fayetteville Museum of Arts conducting an hourly art contest; and the Fayetteville Fire Trucks allowing children to experience the thrill of operating a fire hose, while shooting at a simulated fire wall.

Other attractions include Church tours hosted by our esteemed priest, Fr. Kostas Kostaris; a vehicle display of Fayetteville's own Valley Auto BMW/VW; Greek cooking classes taught throughout the weekend; and a Greek Wine tasting.  Additionally, Cumberland County's - Cape Fear Hospital will be providing free blood pressure readings, cholesterol checks and sugar counts.  Last but certainly not least, we are offering a grand prize raffle of two round trip tickets to Athens Greece from RDU.

Please come and join us during this very fun weekend!
